This is the only solution that worked for me. We have worked meticulously on the details to get everything in line and timed correctly. In this template collection you’ll find ten new lower thirds for Camtasia with motion graphics incorporated. I had to start over with a new first frame image that was resized to the video dimensions I needed for the final production. UPDATED: Now compatible with Camtasia 9, 2018, 2019 and future versions Lower thirds is one of the most requested resources for Camtasia. And unfortunately once that happened, there was no way to get the video to reflect different dimensions, even when I subsequently edited the Project Settings dimensions. In summary, I think the Project Settings took on the dimensions of either the first item I added to the timeline or the first item in the timeline. I rechecked that the Project Setting dimensions were still 1920 x 1080 and continued with adding additional media to my timeline to finish the project. Then, I resized that first frame image to 1920 x 1080 before adding it to my media bin and timeline. My first step was to set the Project Settings dimensions to 1920 x 1080. To resolve this issue, I recreated the entire project in Camtasia. Although I went back and changed the Project Setting dimensions to 1920 x 1080 once I saw the mistake, the video playback still showed the recording as a small video in the middle of the screen. Thus, it seems the Project Settings automatically took on the dimensions of that image. I think the issue is because I inserted a jpg image as the first frame and the dimensions of that image were much smaller, not 1920 x 1080. But, when I render the video it appears as a small video in the middle of the playback screen. So, in the editor, there is no black space or black border at all. In the editor, my video does not have a black border around it- it is already sized to fill up the complete screen in the editor. During playback, my video does have a black border around it- but its not quite as described in the support article you provided.
